2023-2024 Applications for Peer Ambassadors:
The peer ambassador program will continue next fall. This program trains students to take on a leadership role within the Eno River Academy community. Peer Ambassadors will serve as mentors and role models to younger students, they will also assist with recruitment (tours, panels, big events.) There is an opportunity for course credit in the future to develop leadership skills.
Peer ambassadors are trained in team building, group facilitation, problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills. In addition, peer leaders will learn about specific content areas, including time management, academic pressures, relationships with family and friends, alcohol and other drug abuse and other topics. Peer Ambassadors are required to participate in a retreat (date = TBD), to attend all classes as scheduled and to facilitate discussions.
Commitment to Peer Ambassadors:
Participation in this program requires a commitment of time, energy, dedication, responsibility and a desire to help and support others. Students who participate will serve as role models in a position of leadership and are expected to develop a special bond with other students. For example, freshmen look up to their peer leaders and are influenced by their behavior and attitudes. Please apply only if you are interested in helping and supporting your school. We encourage you to discuss the responsibilities of being a peer ambassador with your parents and to contact us if you have any questions about the program.
Application Process:
Please complete and return this application by APRIL 28. All applicants must participate in a Group Interview scheduled for May 2 – 5. It is very important that all interested applicants participate in this activity. It will give us an opportunity to get to know you better and to give you firsthand experience regarding participation in an activity. When we have received your application, we will notify you of your interview date and time.
If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Sealy!

Bobcat Spotlight
In an effort to highlight our amazing staff and students we are initiating the Bobcat Spotlight.

Both students and teachers can be nominated! Check out the bulletin board in the commons to see printed pictures and blurbs about how our nominated students and staff displayed the character trait!
