High School Students and Families,
This week marks the end of the first quarter. Time has flown by, and it’s been so nice having the students in the building. I appreciate your patience and support as we’ve worked to find our stride this year after such a long time away.
Just a reminder that we have fall break next week (October 11-15). Please be mindful of COVID-19 protocols if you are traveling.
Here are this week’s updates and reminders:
Updates and Information:
Senior Night Volleyball Game: Wednesday, October 6 is our last home volleyball game of the season and senior night, where we are honoring our three senior players. ERA Students can get into the game for free if they bring a canned good/non-perishable food item to donate to a local food pantry along with showing their student ID card.
Bobcat Weekly: One of our clubs has started producing a weekly newspaper featuring various aspects of student and staff life here at ERA High School. We will start sharing the digital version each week. Previous issues will be available after fall break.
Makeup Picture Day: We will have makeup pictures for students in grades 9-11 as well as senior portraits on October 7. Students will be called down during the morning to take pictures.
Online Book Fair: Click here for a QR code that will take any parent or family member directly to the online book fair site. It’s a more succinct way to shop this week!
Board of Directors Meeting: The October meeting will be held on October 19th from 5:00pm-7:00pm in the high school commons.
Athletics: Please visit the following document or the ERA Athletics website for ongoing updates with our Athletics Department including tryout dates for fall season sports.
Blood Drive: Are you interested in donating blood? Click here for more information.
Upload Photos to the Yearbook Class: Attached you’ll find a QR code that will take any school community member directly to the photo upload site. It’s a more succinct way to upload photos! Questions may be directed to Ms. Webb at email@example.com.
Yearbook Ad Survey: The yearbook staff created a local business survey that they would like to be sent to all K-12 families. We want to offer the business advertisements to ERA families that own or are associated with local businesses before anyone else. The survey is quick– only five questions. Covid Dashboard: One new case since the week of September 27. Currently, all transmissions have been from outside of school.
Since the beginning of school:
K-8: 8 cases
HS: 3 cases
Good News Gazette: We have many talented students here at ERA and want to highlight their great accomplishments inside and outside the classroom. Feel free to share any good news with Dr. Davis. This will be a feature in each weekly message. Click here to view.
Thank you for your continued support throughout this school year. We appreciate it!
Have a great week!
