High School Students and Families,

Mask Survey: In anticipation of the Orange County mask mandate being lifted in the coming weeks/months (no date has been shared yet), we wanted to send a survey to see how you feel about masking. The survey link is here and will be open until Friday at noon. Only complete one survey per family, please.
State Champion: Congratulations to sophomore, Mary Shanahan, for winning the 100 Butterfly and 100 Backstroke at the NC High School Athletic Association 1A/2A State Championship meet this past Saturday. Mary was also named the Female MVP of the entire meet. In addition, Mary is the first Eno River state champion! Fantastic job, Mary!!
Service Day, ACT Testing, & CPR Training: On March 1, all juniors will take the ACT, beginning at 8:30. Since the testing requires so many staff and classroom spaces, this will be a service day (like we had in the fall) for our freshmen and sophomores. For our seniors, we will have CPR training for any who have not completed this as it is part of the graduation requirements. More information will be emailed to juniors about testing and seniors who need CPR training.
Spring Registration Kickoff & Curriculum Fair: Believe it or not, it’s time to begin thinking about classes for the 2022-2023 school year. Our registration season launches on Tuesday, March 8 with an overview in CATS time and our Curriculum Fair that evening from 5:30-7. The Curriculum Fair is designed to help students learn more about all of our courses including AP courses along with other high school information such as dual enrollment and college planning.
2/22/22: A date that can only happen once a century–click here for a flyer for our celebration of 2/22/22, which happens to be a Tuesday!! We will also be honoring our Class of 2022 that day!
Teddy Bear Drive: Our Kids Helping Kids club is holding a teddy bear/stuffed animal drive for the police station. Click here for more information.
Spring Driver’s Ed Class: The spring session of Driver’s Education will be held March 14-April 1, 2022, meeting Monday through Friday from 4-6 p.m. Students are expected to attend all classes even if it’s a workday, or there is inclement weather. Students must be 14.5 years old to register. Priority is given based on birthdate. The cost is $50 and must be paid the week of March 7. The deadline to register is March 1. To register, click here to complete the form.
Spring Blood Drive: Our National Honor Society wants to get your input about hosting a spring blood drive similar to what we hosted in the fall. Click here to complete a survey if you are willing to participate.
Good News Gazette: Click here for the latest update of our students’ accomplishments. We had several of our art students to recently place or receive an honorable mention at the 2022 Scholastic Art & Writing Competition. If you have good news to share, feel free to send it to Dr. Davis.
Lottery Results: Siblings that applied in our lottery will find out if they received a spot on February 25.
