K8 Weekly Update 1/30

Good afternoon,

I hope you all had a great weekend. Congratulations to all the Eagles and Chiefs fans! This is sure to be a good Super Bowl.
Here are this week’s updates and reminders:
1. February and March Board of Directors Meeting: The next Board of Directors meetings will be held on February 28th and March 22nd both at 5:30 pm. Zoom links will be provided in the coming weeks.
2. Girls on the Run: The ERA 3rd-5th grade Girls on the Run Team will be launching again this Spring. Come join this fun group of girls led by Mrs. Hollister, Mrs. Apelgren, and a couple of parents! Twice per week (Tuesday and Wednesday) from 3:15 pm – 4:30 pm. Girls will be led through interactive lessons and movement activities to build confidence, strength, endurance, and self-confidence! The season ends with a celebratory 5K on May 20th in RTP with all triangle GOTR teams! Cost includes coaching, curriculum, journal, t-shirt, water bottle, and 5K registration. 3. Band: Congratulations to Abby Simonson (7th grade) who represented our school this past weekend at the NC Central District Honors Band Clinic. She and Taylor Christensen (11th grade) successfully auditioned their way into their respective placements. We are so proud of them!
4. Curriculum Night (current 8th-grade families (rising 9th graders)): We will host a curriculum fair on February 2nd from 6:00pm – 7:00pm. The Curriculum Fair will help students and families learn more about the variety of courses offered to make strategic selections during registration for the 23-24 school year. Please join us and see the incredible course offerings at ERA High School!
