It's so hard to believe that we are almost at winter break. As a reminder, we will have an early release day this Friday. We will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and a happy new year!
Sadly, our number of needy families has increased again this year. If you would like to donate a gift card for those in need, please drop it off at K-8 no later than December 12th. Walmart and Target gift cards are best so families can purchase food, clothing and/or gifts. Thank you for your generosity. If you are in need and would like to be included, please email me directly. Your information will be kept confidential.
Here are this week's updates and reminders:
1. Board of Directors Open Seat: The board has an opening beginning in February 2024. The application, which contains further information, is attached. If you have any questions, you can reach out to Dave Nagel at dnagel@enoriveracademy.org.
2. Spirit Week: Please join us this week as we celebrate winter break by showing our holiday spirit. The calendar is attached.
3. Cookies and Cocoa: Let's show some staff appreciation with Cookies and Cocoa! Please consider sending in donations to help ERA staff kick off the holiday break. Here is the sign up genius. Thank you so much!!!
4. Holiday Gifts for Specials Teachers: Thanks to everyone who has contributed to holiday gifts to recognize our awesome K-5 Specials Teachers. If you haven't and would like to, please do so today by venmoing ScottHaileRobertson (parent of 4th and 1st graders). Gift cards will be purchased and delivered on behalf of the families this week! Included at a parent's request.
5. Volunteers needed - Parents or students!
PORCH is short on volunteers this month for their OCS Central Pantry located at Orange Middle School. They have volunteer spots open on Monday 12/11, Wednesday 12/13, and Thursday for distribution on 12/14. Monday afternoon and Thursday beginning at 10:30 am have the highest need for volunteers. Adults are welcome if you have any time, they also welcome student help and can sign off on volunteer documentation as needed.
