Updates:
Upcoming Board Meetings:
There will be a special session of the Board Meeting this Wednesday, January 10 at 5:30. The meeting will take place in the conference room at the high school.
We will have our regularly scheduled Board Meeting next Tuesday, January 16 at 5:30 and will be via zoom only. Click here to join the meeting remotely.
Intent to Return (Required for all ERA students):
Every January we ask our families to indicate whether they wish their current students to return to Eno River Academy during the following school year in our annual Intent to Return form. The deadline to complete is January 26. We use the online software called ScribChoice to collect this data for both current students and new, hopeful siblings. See the linked letter for directions. Food Pantry Donations:
Over the past few months, the High School has seen an increase in students requesting food during lunch time. We could use your help in collecting items and keeping our food pantry stocked so students have access to meals when needed! Please consider sending in the following items to help our school community. Items can be dropped off at the front office labeled "Food Pantry" or sent via Amazon to the school with a note to ensure items get to the right spot.
The following are most needed at this time:
Paper bowls
Plastic spoons/forks
Microwavable Mac & cheese cups
Ravioli cans with peel back lids
Beefaroni cans with peel back lids
Snack size peanut butter packs
Variety pack of chips
Granola bars
Peanut butter sandwich crackers
Fruit cups
Individual packs of trail mix
Friday - Honor Roll Celebration:
Friday, January 12, we would love to celebrate our students who earned A/B Honor Roll and All A Honor Roll from 1st semester by hosting a trail mix bar during lunch.
Please consider donating (the sign up genius is linked below) or volunteering. All donations should be delivered to the school no later than Friday, January 12th in the morning. Volunteering for this event will take place from 11:00am - 11:30am (set up) 11:30am - 12:20pm (serving students) and 12:20 pm - 12:45 pm (clean up).
The North Carolina Museum of Art
will display the winning artwork of the top artists in each age group! This is in addition to cash prizes that will be awarded to the Top 3 winners in each age category and their schools. And don’t forget: Every student who participates in the contest will receive a certificate of participation.
The January 17 deadline for this year’s contest is less than ten days from now, so please share this email with the students and teachers at your school as soon as possible.
Learn more about this year’s theme ("Air Sports for a Peaceful World”) at https://nasao.org/page/international-aviation-art-contest. Note: Our state deadline differs from the date shown on this webpage.
