Summer Camps at ERA: If you are interested in your student(s) attending camps, click on this live Google Doc and check back every couple of weeks to see the exciting camps that have been added!
To register for camps, just open the live Google Doc and click on the "Registration Form" link for the camp you want to sign your student up for. That will take you to the online registration and waiver form. The registration deadline for each camp is 30 days before the camp starts, so don't wait too long to register! For payment, we are using GiveButter, an online donation platform. The link to pay for any ERA summer camps is here. Since this is technically a donation, the cost of camp is tax deductible!
If you have a high school student interested in being a camp counselor for $15 an hour, they should contact Mr. Belton at dbelton@enoriveracademy.org.

6th Grade Water Walk- Wednesday, March 12
Please continue to check Mrs. Connor's updates on this project. This activity mimics a portion of Nya's daily walk to retrieve water in the novel Long Walk to Water and helps students understand how lucky we are to have easy access to our basic human needs. Our goal as a class is to raise $1000 for Water for Sudan. Fundraising for the water walk is completely optional. All students will be participating even if they choose not to do the fundraising portion of this activity.
If you want your child to raise money for Water for Sudan, use this link to join Eno River Academy's team. From here, click "Join Team" and create an account. You will receive a link that you can share with anyone who might want to sponsor your child. We are only collecting money through this site; we will not accept cash or checks.
Box Tops: Check out the March Box Top information flyer.
Blood Drive - Friday, March 28: Our next Blood Drive is Friday, March 28 from 9:30-2:00 in the high school gym. Here is the link to sign up. We REALLY appreciate your support. We need at least 50 donors!!!
Did someone say FIELD TRIP? 7th-12th grade students interested in attending the Flamenco Ballet should reach out to Ms. Tinnin (high school) or Mrs. Alvarado (middle school). This will occur on Friday April 11th. We will be sending out permission slips soon for those interested in attending. This is an amazing opportunity to experience Spanish culture and language. We do recommend that students have some experience taking a Spanish class. Check out the show/performance details here!
World Heritage Day: We are looking forward to celebrating our 2nd annual World Heritage Day event on Monday, March 10th. This year’s theme/focus is flying around the world, so prepare to visit EIA's “Eno International Airport.” This event does require prior sign up, “ ticket reservation” from classes, but we would LOVE to have you join us and learn all about the countries around the world! There will be food samples, fun take aways, stickers to collect and more! Come support our National Spanish Honor Society, which has put in a LOT of work to make this event “take off”! Thanks for choosing EIA!

This week in Athletics:
⚾ I am reaching out in a final effort to recruit more student-athletes for our middle school baseball team. We have been building up this program over the last few years, and we are excited to have an amazing new coach, Ben Meyers, on board this year.
However, we are in need of a few more players to ensure the season can move forward. Both girls and boys are invited to join the team! If your student is interested in participating, please send me an email, and I will pass along your information to Coach Ben. Please contact me at gillette@enoriveracademy.org by Tuesday afternoon or we will have to cancel our middle school baseball season.
Thank you for your support!
